When is it time for therapy?

Many people believe therapy is reserved for those who have broken down. It isn't. Therapy is for anyone who wants to understand themselves better and senses that something in life is out of tune — even when it can't be given a diagnosis.

One of the clearest signs is when you repeatedly think: 'I ought to feel better than I do.' It's a small sentence, but it holds a great deal. It tells you there is a distance between the person you experience yourself to be and the person you would like to be.

Others come because they notice the same patterns appearing again and again — in relationships, at work or in the way they treat themselves. When something repeats, it is rarely a coincidence. It is usually a signal that something wants to be seen.

My advice: don't wait until it feels too late. It is never too early to reach out. A single intro talk commits you to nothing — but it may become the beginning of what you have been looking for.
