I have always been fascinated by people, relationships and the things that shape us. Why do we react the way we do? Why do we repeat certain patterns? What makes us lose contact with ourselves — and how do we find our way back?
My own life has held several major changes. Around 15 years ago I moved to Denmark and built a new life here. Today Denmark is my home, while several languages and cultures are still a natural part of my everyday life.
I have been through divorce, lost people I loved, experienced stress and known the feeling of being completely exhausted. So I also know from my own life how it feels when something that used to work no longer does — and when you have to stop, understand yourself anew and find another direction.
An important part of my own development has been the psychotherapeutic work I have done myself. It has helped me understand my own patterns, make more conscious choices and create a life that feels more right for me. Today I am happily married, a proud mother to a 21-year-old daughter and bonus mother to a 13-year-old son — and Amigo, our dog, is of course also an important part of the family.
My path has not been a straight line
My working life has been varied. Among other things I built my own English language school, worked for the public prosecution service and later spent many years in Regulatory Affairs in international pharma and medical device companies.
So I have moved between very different worlds myself — languages, law, business and now therapy.
I hold a master's degree in English and German as well as a master's degree in law, and I know a working life with responsibility, ambition, complex decisions, deadlines and high expectations.
I also know how you can be capable, high-functioning and successful on the outside — and at the same time feel that something inside is calling for change.
That is an experience I bring with me into the therapy room.
Why therapy became my path
My interest in people and relationships was there long before I began my therapeutic training.
What matters most to me today is seeing the moment the therapeutic work begins to make a real difference. When a person suddenly understands themselves in a new way. When something stuck begins to loosen. When the light returns to someone's eyes. When a person moves through a life crisis, finds the courage to change something or begins to feel more calm, freedom and joy.
For me, therapy is not about having all the answers or about becoming a different person. It is about understanding yourself better, sensing what you need and gaining greater freedom to choose your own direction.
